Overview
Admirals Wharf was the largest privately funded redevelopment project in Connecticut. Located on 45 prominent acres on the Stamford Harbor, Collins, in partnership with Brownfields Redevelopment Corp., conceived the project and obtained approvals in 2002 for a premier mixed-use waterfront development intended to spark a revitalization of the South End of Stamford. The project included 600 residential rental and condominium units, 200,000 square feet of office space, 130,000 square feet of retail, plus waterfront amenities and a 250 slip marina and boatyard. At the height of the market in 2005, the partnership made the wise choice of selling the project to Antares who were sourcing large scale projects with their partner Lupert Adler.
