Arthur Collins
President
Arthur Collins is President of Collins Capital Partners, LLC, and chief investment officer for the company. He is responsible for oversight of the company business plan including sourcing new projects, financing and asset managing the company investments in all markets.
Since 1983, Mr. Collins has been managing development and construction for the company and guiding investment decisions. The company has built major residential and commercial projects in the New York market and in Virginia. Mr. Collins is the principal responsible to obtain the entitlements, develop the product and source the financing for each project. His expertise is in development and construction, and he oversees all value-add scope in the value-add apartment communities now under management. Mr. Collins has also served as planning and development feasibility consultant for cities and economic development administrations from New Orleans to Stamford, CT. Mr. Collins initiates company policy and charts strategic direction and makes them manifest.
Mr. Collins is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, and Collins Capital Partners is a sponsor of the Connecticut/Westchester local district council. Mr. Collins is asked often to speak at conferences and seminars dealing especially with creative land use and urban redevelopment. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and a Masters degree in Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Collins is a former trustee of the Conway School, a graduate institution in land planning in Massachusetts, a Real Estate advisor for the Kent School Board of Trustees in Connecticut, and a speaker at Columbia, Yale and Pace Universities. Mr. Collins lives in Darien, CT and is married with four grown children.
