Overview
RiverPark was the fifth phase of a 500-unit multifamily Collins redevelopment on the Elizabeth River. Part of a public/private partnership, this final phase saw the development of for-sale homes in the historic district of Freemason Harbor. Collins pioneered a new parking ratio that set the standard for redevelopment in downtown Norfolk. The community, a 44-unit, four-story condominium with elegant Federal style architecture, generous porches and large southern style windows, creates a luxurious riverfront lifestyle. RiverPark was honored to receive the “Excellence in Development Design Award” for best multi-family projects from the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate. Collins partnered with Hoy Construction and RBC Centura Bank. The project cost was $11.3 million with a sell out of $15.6 million.
